I'm trying to use the MagnAFPM tool to simulate the generator described in the "2F wind turbine construction manual" but I receive this error: "It is not possible to build this stator because the coils are overlapping at the average radius of the generator. Try increasing the number of poles."
I find this strange as we have built the generator according to the design in the book and the coils do not overlap. Also in the MagnAFPM tool there is no possibility to input information relating to the size of the coil (for example: Number of turns per coil, Copper wire diameter, Coil leg width)
Could you shed any light on this issue?

We have designed all Hugh's turbines both from the Recipe Book using Neodymium magnets and from the F-series using Ferrite magnets with the OpenAFPM tools and the results are coherent.
Without having looked at your simulation, the first thing I would point out is that with designs of the F-series you need to use the triangular coils option. This might solve your problem.
Regarding your second question for inputing values for the Number of turns per coil, Copper wire diameter, Coil leg width, you can do that when using the UserAFPM tool which assumes you already know the geometry of your generator.
the simulation I was refering to is #750. In the end the UserAFPM tool was all I needed to use.
since yesterday the page is not displaying the simulations results, nor output files nor input parameters anymore.

I started a MagnAFPM simulation 5 days ago and it is still queued. Is this a normal wait time? I just want to make sure that I'm not doing anything wrong.
This is not normal. We are looking into it.
Just tried to simulate the India waterpumper and cannot include decimals at the magnet size. Also, it gives me a error saying the coils do not fit and when I look at the results the magnets are 2mm apart, which does not make sense (IMHO). I am testing at high voltage setting up at 500V as that is the limit. It is a modified 4.2m machine with 20 poles at high voltage (440VAC). It is similar to the grid tie version, but higher voltage.

I have tried desigining a axial flux alternator in your tool and have some queries regarding the same.
When you look at the Terminal Voltage vs Current (Flux Linkage) Plot i am seeing that for a given rpm the Voltage changes with change in current values, when current is low the voltage is also low and when the current is max the voltage is also max.
My Understanding is when you run the Alternator, the alternator terminal voltage starts increasing, its voltage is directly proportional to the number of turns in the phase windings, magnetic flux density and coil resistance, therefore with increase in rpm, terminal voltage also increases.
The moment a load is connected it starts drawing current, at this stage as the current drawn increase the voltage can only drop but cannot increase if the rpm is maintained constant, but in the plot mentioned above both voltage and current increase together can you explain.
